What we collect
If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from your account. If you sign in with assigned credentials, we keep your name, email and an encrypted form of your password. We ask for nothing else and collect no special categories of data.
Service usage during the beta
During this testing phase we record the substantive actions taken in the service — logins, analyzed formulas (with the text entered), archive searches, profile views — to understand how it is used and improve it. These records are visible to the owners only. Uploaded photographs are never stored or recorded, and for Compass descriptions we only record aggregates, never the text.
Why we process it
Only to let you sign in and to attribute scientific validations to a person: a confirmed piece of evidence changes the results everyone sees, so it must remain traceable to whoever decided it. We do not use your data for profiling or advertising, and we do not sell it.
Cookies
We use two technical cookies: one keeps your session open after sign-in, the other remembers your chosen language. No analytics or third-party cookies, which is why no consent banner appears.
Where the data is
On Amazon Web Services servers in the Frankfurt region, within the European Union. Signing in with Google involves an exchange of data with Google under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
For as long as your access stays active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by writing to the address above; validations already made remain, as they are part of scientific traceability, but they can be anonymized.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and you can object to processing. Write to mamartino.com@gmail.com: we reply within thirty days. If you believe the processing breaches the European regulation, you may lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
